If you find yourself in a position to have to give up your pet, or if you should find a stray animal, before coming to ACS, please consider contacting one of the rescue groups we have approved as part of the ACS rescue program and see if they can help you. If you must turn in your pet, be aware Animal Care Services can not guarantee we will be able to place your pet in the Adoption program or with an approved rescue. Owner surrendered animals may be euthanized immediately upon turn in due to space restrictions at the shelter or if they can not be placed.
